WHO’S BEHIND THIS
N
NIKITA SELIVAN
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Nikita has lived volleyball for 17 years - she played at Wheaton College right here in MA, coached at Wellesley College, was a 2026 AVCA 30 under 30 recipient, and spent the last two years as a club director. What drives her is what an early start can do: she watched it shape her own path - and her little sister's, who's become one of the best players in the region - and she can't stop thinking about how much the game could grow if every kid got that same start.
She's a total health-and-fitness nut who believes every child deserves a physical outlet and a lifelong love of sport ◡̈ Whether these kids play volleyball forever or not, she's happy to give them that foundation. 🩵
S
SCOTT GRANDPRÉ
FOUNDER
Scott has coached youth volleyball for over 20 years, the last 10 of them in Boston. What he cares about most now is access — making sure any kid who wants to play volleyball has a real place to start, no matter their town or background. He sees that as one of the biggest steps the sport can take.
Mini Volley grew out of that. It's where the littlest players get their first touch on a volleyball, and hopefully where they will fall in love with the sport we all love!
WHAT IS MINI VOLLEY?
Mini Volley is a beginner-first volleyball program for kids 6–12 across greater Boston. Once a week, kids learn the basics through tiny courts, tons of touches, playful coaching, and real games from day one — no experience needed.
AGES 6–12 · BEGINNERS WELCOME
1
A team of their own
Your kid joins a team of kids from their own town and keeps the same teammates all eight weeks. The friendships are half the point.
2
A coach every week
One coach leads their team through the whole season with our week-by-week plan: warm up, learn one new skill, then go straight into playing.
3
Real games from day one
Every session ends in small-sided games, so kids actually play volleyball every single week — not just drills.
4
The Festival finale
Every season wraps with the Festival: a celebration day where every kid plays and every kid gets recognized.
